All LGLL participants are eligible to be considered to play for our All Star teams, assuming they meet the residency requirements. For most divisions, there are two classifications for All Star teams--a District Team, and a Tournament team.
The District Teams participate in a Little League International-hosted tournament playing against teams in our own district, with the possibility of advancing to the state tournament and, for some levels, to regionals.
The Tournament Teams will play in a locally-organized tournament and will recognize our All Star players who, for whatever reason, did not qualify for the District team.
The following divisions have All Star teams:
Baseball:
* A League & B League (10, 11, 12 yr olds) will have a District and Tournament team at each age level
* C League & Farm will have two tournament teams
* The Farm league all stars also will play against each other in an in-house La Grange all star game
Softball:
* Minors (10U) and Majors (12U) will have a District and Tournament team
* Juniors (14U) will typically have a District team only
* If there are enough players (typically pitchers), Majors can also field an 11U District team. If not, those 11U District players could be selected for the 12U tournament team
Note: The selection process for All Stars is very competitive. Being selected the previous year does not factor into the current year's selection process.
